Character Outline & Plot
Character Outline:
Susie is a school girl about the age 15-16 she hasa hard time communicating with people especially strangers. She is scared to communicate because she is afraid she wont be understood, that she will be mocked and laughed at. She is a medium height girl who lives in Australia in the middle of the woods with her mum and dad in a tree house made of oak. She has short brown hair that match the browness of the tree trunks. Her eyes arr brught blue with a ton of freckles sourouding it.
The man is a middle aged plumber with a bald head and a bushy long moustache thats grey from all the ageing. he is about 6 foot with great big smile. he lives in the neighbourhood and is the village plumber. He has no family he lives alone in a near by cottage.
The woman and her sons they live next to susie and her family the woman is in her late 40s and her sons in their late teens their all tall and well built.
Plot:
A girl called susie finds herself alone at home in her tree house in the middle of a forest with a plumber on a very warm day in Australia. she doesn’t know how to speak to strangers her serious anxiety presents her to communicate freely with strangers.
The worried 15 year old goes out to look for her parents who haven’t returned home to see as she got back that her tree house is on fire and she had locked the plumber inside. she has to use her voice to save him will he make it?
Reflective Journals Unit 7
Reflective Journal 1:
This week we started a project where we have to analyize interactive media. This week i have done my powerpoint for it with a bit of research about interactive media and the different platforms that come with it. I have learned that interactive media is more than facebook, twitter & snapchat it is also cinema, websites, apps, virtual reality and many more. Then I had to make 2 spider diagrams showing all of this. I then had to research colour scheme this was because the main task for this unit was to make my own website from the results I will be collecting on my very own surveys. I then had to start planning for what I would want my website to be about.
Reflective Journal 2:
This week I have done my pitch with my group where I had to compare 2 different websites and their features and what I like and dislike about them this was done with a group because we had to contribute to eachothers comparisons with what we each like and dislike about each of our chosen websites then I had to edit it and post it onto youtube. This helped us get ideas for our own websites and the features most liked and disliked by people. I then had to make a survey asking people what they use their phones for and how often they use their phones, this helped me to see what the website should be about e.g music. From my survey results I could conclude what my website should be about. I had to do a more detailed survey after that about what interests my audience more on a website e.g what fonts and colours attract them on a website. The answers stated that bold & fancy writing would be the best choice and vibrant colourful colours.
Reflective Journal 3:
I have decided on my final website idea this week and with the help of a website called wix I could bring my idea to life. my website is a music website where you can access concert dates and music and stream offline for free this would help my target audience of everyone who likes music because my survey results showed the mode people use their phones to listen to music. I made the background a vibrant red and blue with creative bold writing which will successfully get everyone’s attention. I then wrote my survey evaluation. I explained my results and how they helped me win my finish piece.
Reflective Journal 4:
I did my pitch this week where I explained and presented my website idea. I then edited my video and posted it on YouTube. I wrote my SWOT analysis with all my strengths throughout this Unit and Weaknesses , opportunities and threats. I explained what I have learned through this period of time and how I developed my skills along the way. I explained what was in my pitch with my idea and the themes and finishing touches of my typography and colours. I then wrote up0 my next creative step along with my rationale to add more detail to my work and what I plan to do next with it how I plan to make it better for my audience.
